Today we wrap up our interview with Felicity Withington BComm, LLM, MTAX, CMA, Director of Canadian Tax at Intrawest. Intrawest is a host of the 2010 Winter Olympics so we had to ask Felicity the following question!
What impact do you believe the 2010 Winter Olympics will have on Vancouver?
I lived through the transformation the Summer 2000 Olympics brought to Sydney and I believe Vancouver has the potential to gain similar benefits in the aftermath of this magnificent event. For a start, the city gets a face lift which is enduring and benefits everyone; Granville Street is a perfect example, and the Canada Line means Vancouver is one of the few major cities in the world with a train connecting downtown to an international airport. It adds a level of maturity to the city.
