Seasonally, knee length tailored shorts are permitted provided shoes (not sandals) and knee socks are worn. Sweatshirts, jeans or warmup suits are not permitted, nor is apparel with advertising messages or slogans,denim of any colour, cargo pants, collarless shirts, hiking style boots, boat or athletic footwear. Running shoes or sandals are not permitted.

Additionally, the use of cell phones in the club is restricted to private booth areas dedicated for such use.

CMA Vancouver Chapter Holiday Social!

We are very pleased to announce our first sponsor for this year's CMA Vancouver Chapter Holiday Social that will be held on December 2nd, 2009 at the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel.  This event has become a staple on the Chapter calendar and has experienced growth every single year it has been held.

The Holiday Social is a great tradition and we'd like to extend an invitation to all Chapter members to join us on December 2nd.  Last year saw over 100 CMAs come out and our registration numbers are already tracking for another well-atteneded event.  There's still time to sign on and you can do so here:   

In addition to excellent networking and holiday meet-and-greets, this event has been a great contributor to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Last year we raised over $1,300 and sent more than half a dozen cases of food down to the Food Bank.

Each week leading up to the event, we intend to profile one of our sponsors here on the Chapter blog.  Our first sponsor is Sprott-Shaw Community College.

This is Sprott-Shaw's first year sponsoring our Holiday Social and we are extremely pleased to welcome them aboard.  As a local education institution specializing in career-oriented programs, Sprott-Shaw has built a solid reputation with both the private sector and government in providing well-trained graduates who are ready to excel in their respective workplaces.

At the moment, we are seeking additional sponsors for both door prizes and the event, itself.  Our goal is to raise more money for the Food Bank this year than in each of our previous years and in order to maximize our members' donations, sponsors will be key.  Please contact us via the event contact form if you'd like to know more.

Register for the CMA Vancouver Chapter Holiday Social - Dec 2nd!

So the invites are out! The Marriott Pinnacle Vancouver is the place, Wednesday December 2nd is the date. Join to raise money for the Food Bank and meet other CMAs and their guests.

We have lots of exciting things planned for the evening, including our Raffle. The more you donate on your ticket price the more raffle tickets you get! Out organising committee our busy planning the night, so stay tuned as our plans firm up. There will of course be food and a cash bar, stay tuned for more news!!!
